Ireland City Tour
July 22-29, 2023
We started our Odyssey with a walking introduction to Dublin.
From Dublin we headed north to the Causeway Coast, stopping to visit Malahide Castle along the way. We crossed Carrick-A-Rede Bridge, explored the Giant's Causeway, wandered around the ruins of Dunluce Castle, and spent the night in a castle of our own. We pressed on to Donegal, hiked the highest sea-cliffs in Europe at Slieve League, and continued down to Killarney. We walked around Corcomroe Abbey, visited a Beehive hut, hit the beach on the Dingle Peninsula and drove a bit of the Ring of Kerry. Then it was back to Dublin for a final day of history, culture, and city adventure.
Trekking with us supports Team Long Run financially and gives us a chance to get to know each other. A modest portion of the trip cost (any net profits) goes directly to fund TLR kids’ programs throughout the year.
