New Hampshire’s White Mountains and the Coast of Maine

October, 2019

In October of 2019, we led a small group into New Hampshire’s White Mountains and the Coast of Maine for a week of fun and exploration.

Beginning in Bethel, Maine, we set out on a perfect day for a hike at Baldface Mountain with a visit to the Emerald Pool. Our next adventure was a trip on the Cog Railway to the summit of Mount Washington, site of the highest wind speeds recorded on the planet (231 mph). From there we headed to the coast, with visits to Boothbay Harbor, Monhegan Island, a schooner cruise in Camden, Rockland, Rockport, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and finally a whale watch in Portland. It was the perfect blend of mountains and sea.

Trekking with us supports Team Long Run financially and gives us a chance to get to know each other. A modest portion of the trip cost (any net profits) goes directly to fund TLR kids’ programs throughout the year.
